First, identify gray TrackMaster
These parts are made for the gray plastic TrackMaster track system from 2014 through 2025. It is different from the older brown TrackMaster track from 2009–2013, and it is also different from the Easy Connect system introduced in 2026. The connector shape changed between generations, so check the track color and the year the set was made before choosing an adapter.

Build one bigger railway
An adapter creates the join between two connector styles, so gray TrackMaster can become part of the layout already on hand instead of a separate loop. Most adapter packs include two pieces—one for each direction—so the connection can work with the track ends in the layout. Start with the color: gray plastic TrackMaster is the 2014 generation, while the earlier version is brown. If the track is newer and marked Easy Connect, choose a 2026 adapter instead.
